Thomas "Bastard of Exeter" Holand died between March 1460 and 1461; per Richardson: Executed at Coventry Warwickshire or slain at the battle of Towton.1,2
; NB: As a result of new work I have undertaken, I now consider my link of Henry (c1485-1561) to a father Thomas (1416 - ca 1460) to be spurious. My original information was from a RootsWeb WorldConnect database that was unsupported by sources. I will continue to explore this, but HAVE deleteD this link. ; Per Richardson (Exeter, 11.i: “Thomas Holand, was a legatee in his father's 1447 will, who bequeathed him an annuity of (pounds) 40. On 6 March 1460/1, Edward IV, King of England, offered (pounds) 100 reward for the execution of "the bastards of Exeter." Thomas Holand, Bastard of Exeter, was reportedly executed by Warwick at Coventry, Warwickshire in March 1460/1. He may also be one of the two bastard sons of the Duke of Exeter slain at the Battle of Towton 29 March 1461. Scofield Life & Reign of Edward IV 1 (1923):131, 156-157. C. C. ; Thomas Holland was the illegitimate son of Henry Holland, 3rd Duke of Exeter, mother unknown. When Henry was murdered his illegitimate son Thomas lost all hope of acknowledgement.
One of Henry's illegitimate son's had a son named Henry Holland from whom springs the Hollands of America. For continuity he has been placed under Thomas.3
