     John Lyon 6th Lord Glamis was born circa 1491.3 He married Lady Janet Douglas, daughter of George Douglas Master of Angus and Elizabeth Drummond, circa 1520.1,3

      ; JOHN, 6th Ld Glamis; m Jonet Douglas, 3rd dau of George, Master of Angus (and sis of 6th Earl of Angus) (see HAMILTON & BRANDON, D), and had issue. His Lordship d 8 April 1528. His widow m Alexander Campbell, of Skipnish, 2nd s of 2nd Earl of Argyll (see ARGYLL, D). This Lady, the victim of the implacable anger of JAMES V against the house of Douglas, was condemned to the flames, and endured the savage sentence on the Castle Hill of Edinburgh, 17 July 1537. Her husband, Alexander Campbell, was k while endeavouring to escape from the castle.2
