By Maroit Erskine, dau of 2nd Ld Erskine (see MAR, E), he had issue.⁵ He was Great Marischal of Scotland - The important hereditary office of Great Marischal of Scotland was held by the family of Keith, from the 12th century. The founder, Hervey, in the reign of DAVID I, owned half the lands of Keith, called Keith-Hervey, and afterwards Keith-Marischal before July 1458 at Scotland.⁵
