     Joan de Verdun was born circa 10 August 1303 at Wooton, Stanton Lacy, Shropshire, England; Burke's Peerage says "b 9 or 11 Aug 1303."3 She married John de Montagu, son of William de Montagu 2nd Lord Montagu and Elizabeth de Montfort, on 28 April 1317; her 1st husband.1 Joan de Verdun married Thomas de Furnivalle 2nd Lord Furnivalle, son of Sir Thomas de Furnivalle 1st Lord Furnivalle and Joane le Despenser, on 24 February 1318; her 2nd husband.1 Joan de Verdun died on 2 October 1334.1 She was buried circa 7 January 1335 at Croxden Abbey, England.3
