Note: Dora,
I walked the entire Fiskville cemetery today putting an eyeball on ever head stone and grave marker there. Unfortunately, I did not find your relative. There are many, many unmarked grave-sites, and markers which have become totally unreadable over the years. It is possible one of those is where your relative is buried, but it is impossible to determine which grave-site that would be.
Sorry, I don't have better news,
Bob Andrews, Austin, TX

Mary Frances Young died in 1899 at Austin, Travis Co., Texas, USA.1
Mary Frances Young was listed as a resident in Thomas Young and Martha Patsy Joyce's household in the census report in 1840 at 9th Civil District, Maury Co., Tennessee, USA; He is on the same census page as his father, Nathaniel (II), but not sure this is the correct Thomas, since the oldest woman listed is too young to be his wife, Martha (b. 1803). The older girl (aged 10-14) is unidentified.

Hiram Hartson1

M, #97671, b. 27 July 1835, d. 7 March 1921
Last Edited21 Mar 2022
Hiram Hartson was born on 27 July 1835 at Ohio, USA.1 He married Mary Alice Rutledge, daughter of Edward Armstrong Rutledge and Mary Frances Young, on 3 December 1873 at Travis Co., Texas, USA.1

Hiram Hartson died on 7 March 1921 at Austin, Travis Co., Texas, USA, at age 85.1
Hiram Hartson was buried after 7 March 1921 at Pond Springs Cemetery, Jollyville, Williamson Co., Texas, USA; From Find A Grave:
BIRTH     27 Jul 1835, Ohio, USA
DEATH     7 Mar 1920 (aged 84), Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
Mary Alice Rutledge was born to Edward Armstrong and Mary F. (YOUNG) RUTLEDGE 10 Dec 1852 in Wayne County, Tennessee. As Edward Armstrong RUTLEDGE was a brother of Capt. William Pinkney RUTLEDGE who is buried in Pond Springs Cemetery, Mary Alice (RUTLEDGE) HARTSON was a niece of Captain RUTLEDGE, and a niece of Thomas Lafayette RUTLEDGE who donated the land for Pond Springs Cemetery. Her father had apparently died by the time of the 1870 Travis County Texas census. Although I personally cannot find the Hartsons in neither the 1920 nor the 1930 census, family researchers say that Mary appeared on the census on 9 Jan 1920 in 4101 Avenue C, JP #3, 4th Ward, Austin, Texas, and that she appeared on the census on 2 Apr 1930 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.
Mary died on 26 May 1930 in Austin, Travis County, Texas and is buried in Pond Springs Cemetery, Williamson County, Texas.
From the Austin Newspaper, Wednesday, May 28, 1930:
"MORTUARY MRS. ALICE HARTSON
Mrs. Alice Hartson, 78, resident of Austin for many years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. M. Shelton, near Cedar Park late Monday afternoon.
She is survived by five children, Mrs. C. M. Shelton of Cedar park; Mrs. J. C. Stanford of Lubbock; Miss Ollie Hartson of Austin; Claud Hartson of Denver, Colo., and Eugene Hartson of Phoenix, Arizona.
Funeral services were held at the grave in Pond Springs cemetery with the Rev. Luther Norman officiating, Tuesday at 3 p.m."
Please note: the epitaph on her tombstone reads: "She hath done what she could".
Mary Alice RUTLEDGE married Hiram HARTSON (son of Leonard Hartshorn and Eunice Dustin) on 3 Dec 1873 in Travis County, Texas. She might have been Hiram's second wife. Hiram, 17 years her senior, was born on 27 Jul 1838 in Washington County, Ohio.
Hiram Hartson Chronology:
According to his death certificate he was born in 1838
1850: Barlow Township, Washington County, Ohio, 27 Jul 1850, Hiram "HARTSHORN"
     1860: Hiram/H. HARTSON/HARTSHORN(E) not found to date.
1862, July 6: Enlisted at Camp Terry, Austin Texas, in Company G, 17th Texas Infantry. Muster cards show him as "absent sick" through August 1863
1866: Travis County Texas, 26 December: Bought 380 acres off of the East bank of the Colorado River from R. W. Riley & wife for $800
1867: Travis County Texas: Signed a voter registration list stating he had lived in Texas since 1856
1870: Austin, Travis County, Texas, 12 Aug 1870. With the following family: Joseph Hartson, 16, Ann, 13, Henry, 11, Bathsheba, 9, and Harriett, 7. Hiram is shown as born in Ohio and the rest in Texas. These children may have been his by a former marriage, or just relatives.
1880: Travis County, Texas, 16 Jun 1880 in Polling Place No. 25
1900: Travis County, Texas, 20 Jun 1900 in McNeil, Precinct No. 4

     1920: Justice Precinct 3, 4th Ward, Austin, Texas, 28 Apr 1920, 4101 Avenue C
Hiram HARTSON died on 7 Mar 1920 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Mr. Hartson was buried originally "near Teck Texas", and his body was moved to Pond Springs Cemetery about 1941, when Lake Travis was built. The original location is now under the Marshall Ford Dam. His probate was filed March 11, 1920, in Travis County. His son was the adminstrator. Decree was filed in Book 44, pages 72 to 76, and 95.
Hiram and Mary Alice (RUTLEDGE) HARTSON had the following children:

From the El Paso Times, Tuesday, October 30, 1956, Page 1 and Page 9:
Judge Isaacks, Veteran Solon, Dies
     S. J. Isaacks of El Paso - judge, legislator, attorney and civic leader - died Monday at the age of 87. In failing health for many months, the pioneer El Pasoan had served the citizens of Texas for more than 50 years. Judge Isaacks served his first elective office as state legislator from Bastrop County in 1903. He was a member of the Texas House of Representatives from El Paso for a continuous period from 1938 to 1954, when he resigned. Considered the dean of the Legislature until his retirement, he was succeeded in his legislative post by his daughter, Miss Maud Isaacks, recently re-elected for a second full term. Judge Isaacks was a Texas through and through. His grandfather, Samuel Isaacks, was one of Stephen F. Austin's 300 original settlers who came to Texas in 1821, when the territory was still part of Mexico. The judge was born in Bell County, Texas, and raised on a farm. He taught country school while preparing himself for the law. On a doctor's advice, he moved from Bastrop County to Midland in 1903 and was that city's first mayor upon its incorporation in 1906. He was re-elected mayor in 1908. In 1909 he was appointed district judge of the new 70th District and was re-elected to the post in 1910 and 1914. Judge Isaacks resigned his position in 1916 and moved to El Paso "on the last day of December" in that same year. He later recalled that he moved here because "I thought El Paso was the coming metropolis of all the Southwest, and I wanted to be a part of it."Entering law practice here, he was a Presidential elector in 1920, when he voted for Cox and Roosevelt for President and Vice President.
WROTE TAX BILL
He served on El Paso School Board in 1922-23, and was elected to represent the 89th District in the Legislature in 1938. When Judge Isaacks returned to the House of Representatives in 1939 after his long absence, he was immediately acknowledged one of the top leaders of that body, and many bills in the ensuing years bore his stamp. He led a fight against tax bills recommended by Gov. W. Lee (Pappy) O'Daniel, charging that they were measures which would burden the poor. Judge Isaacks was co-author of a resources bill which eventually brought a surplus to the general revenue fund. He was author of an anti-lynching bill, supported a fair redistricting measure, strengthened drunken driving statutes and backed the Gilmer-Aiken laws reorganizing the schools. Judge Isaacks was chairman of the House Judiciary Committee in the 48th, 50th, and 52nd Legislatures. He also served on the Judicial Districts, Labor and Privileges and Suffrage and Elections Committees. His fellow legislators honored him on numerous occasions. In one bill setting up a judges retirement system for the state, the legislators wanted to include a special amendment to benefit Judge Isaacks and persons of his qualifications. Judge Isaacks objected to the bill. "It's hard to tell you how much I appreciate this," he told the House. "But this is not a proper amendment to a bill. The state has paid me for my services and I don't want any other payment."
BILL KILLED
When he added - "Please, for my sake, vote no on the amendment" - members of the House applauded, and the amendment was withdrawn. In 1953, the House adopted a resolution congratulating Judge Isaacks on his 84th birthday and upon his span of 50 years of service as a member of the House. Judge Isaacks once said it was is boyhood ambition first to be a printer, then a locomotive engineer and finally a lawyer. Perhaps reflecting his own career, he once advised young men going into business "to select a vocation, resolve to be a leader in it, override every obstacle and keep your goal in view." The Judge was a member of the Five Points Masonic Lodge, El Maida Shrine, El Paso Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, American Bar Association, Sons of the Republic of Texas, Sons of the American Revolution and First Christian Church. His wife died in 1934. Survivors include three sons, E. Buford Isaacks of Cleburne, Texas, and Rutledge and Bill Isaacks, both of El Paso; a nephew, Carel Marlow of Abilene, Texas; two nieces, Mrs. Annis Starr of Lubbock and Mrs. Richard Ruffner of Kermit, Texas; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church, with Dr. C. M. Yocum and the Rev. Keith Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Kaster and Maxon. The family requested that flowers be omitted. Members of the El Paso Bar Association will serve as honorary pallbearers
