History of Lizzie Meek
"(per its_not; Ardissone family tree) Mrs.Bessie Clark _ was my great grandma- Elizabeth "Lizzie" Minks the Cheokee Princess. Her maiden name was Meek, was sent to prison in Missouri for shooting the Sheriff - was ran out of Town (in Oklahoma). She was married to George Hartsock at the time _ Lewis John (her 1st son) was my Grandpa (Nana's dad) - then Lizzie had Frank Hartsock - John Lewis and Frank mo0 ved out to Oregon with Lizzie' mom - do not know her name ? Grandpa ran away from Oregon - ended up on an orphan train in Ks - and settled in with Cora and Gilby Haqworth who adopted him. From what I know - after Lizzie got out of prison she went off the Arizona (1924) and married this Oscar Bud Clark - they were marrried 11 years (Mar 24, 1941 - according to the last letter she ever wrote my Grandpa so she must have married Oscar in 1931). Lizzie (Bessie) had a son named Ted as well - she states in the letter that she has not seen him since 1922 - Grandpa Lewis was born 11/24/1901 - in Oklahoma Territory in the letter she states that Ted moved back to S. Carolina with his wife and 3 daughters - in 1934 (from what she had heard). Apparently she also had a son named Sam who lived in California and had 4 children. Lizzie also had a daughter - not cer by who? But her name was Virginia who lived in California and had a baby boy (she separated from her husband before the baby was born and GG Lizzie raised the boy )
"Other information: I transcribed as written by its_not. It's a little confusing. It verifies that Theodore Castle Hartsock is the same as Ted, as my grandmother was from South Carolina. Ted left my grandmother about that time frame and was never heard from again as far as I know. - Treasure Hartsock Wehner
