I think the John Lee in question is the John Lee who lived on St. Clement's Manor and was a fairly important functionary for Thomas Gerrard. It looks to me like William is John's son (or perhaps brother.) In Nov. 1676, William Lee was granted administration on the Charles Co., Md. estate of James Chancellor. William Lee had married Judith Chancellor the relict of James Chancellor but Judith is now deceased. Source: Maryland Prerogative Court, Testamentary Proceedings, Liber 8A, p. 305.1

Rev. John Tunnell, son of William and Ann Howard Tunnell, was born 1755 near Fredericksburg, Va. and died July 1790 at the Sweet Springs in Va., now in West Va. He was never married.
Of the four sons this one was the best known. He was an eminent minister, credited with doing wonderful work, one of the first itinerants in America, and greatly loved and respected as an orator and a Christian. His name has been preserved in many of the histories of Methodism. He was admitted into the traveling connection "at a preaching house at the Conference which began May 20, 1777 near Deer Creek, Maryland." At the Christmas Conference of 1784, when American Methodism was separated from the British and organized as a distinctly American Church, Rev. Francis Asbury was ordained a Bishop and Rev. John Tunnell was elected to an eldership. Mr. Tunnell attended the first Conference held west of the Alleghanies. He spent some months in the West India Island of St. Christopher's but had no charge there He was elder of the district embracing East Jersey, Newark, New York and Long Island in 1786; of the Holston and Nolichucky, known now as East Tenn. 1787; of Tar River, Bladen, New River, Roanoke, Caswell, New Hope, Guilford, Salisbury, Yadkin and Halifax in 1788. He was the presiding elder of the district embracing Holston, West New River, Greenbrier and Botetourt, 1789, his last appointment.
In Bishop Asbury's writings are references to Mr. Tunnell. Of his death Bishop Asbury wrote; "Sat 11, 1790. Brother Tunnell's corpse was brought to Dew's Chapel. I preached his funeral sermon. It is fourteen years since Brother Tunnell first knew the Lord and he had spoken about 13 years and had traveled through 8 of the 13 states. Few men as public ministers were better known or more beloved. He was a simple-hearted, artless, child-like man. For his opportunities he was a man of good learning, had a large fund of Scripture knowledge; was a good historian, a sensible, improving preacher, a most affectionate friend and a great saint". Stevens says; "He takes historical rank among the founders of Methodism in the great valley of the West, its most important arena". He moved, melted and charmed his audiences It might seem almost as if the life and adventures of Rev. John Tunnell were inextricably interwoven with the history of pioneer Methodism in the United States.
Sandy creek Chronicles
One of the early Tunnells in America was Rev. John Tunnell, who was one of the first twelve elected elders of the Methodist Church in America. He was a circuit rider who traveled and preached in 8 of the original 13 states. He was a very prominent preacher in those days. His ministry was cut short due to contracting tuberculosis which caused his death in 1790 at age 35.

J.C. McKeehan married Susan Wilcox about 1865 in Tennessee.
He brought his family to Texas in the early 1870s. The family is listed as one of the organizers of the First Baptist Church at Jacksboro in 1875.
The Jacksboro Gazette
Thursday, June 29, 1911
"The Baylor County Banner of 23 June 1911 had the announcement of the death of J.C. McKeehan who formerly lived in Jacksboro, and was well known, being a member of the firm of McKeehan Brothers, one of the strongest business firms of the Jacksboro in the 1880s. He left Jacksboro in 1887 and after several changes finally located in Seymour, where he resided until his death. He was an old Confederate noted for his daring achievements on the battlefield. He was a zealous Christian and a member of the Baptist church. He had for several years been a sufferer and almost an invalid, caused from the wound he received in the battle of Chickamauga. His death was not unexpected to his family or himself."
Reuben Rose McKeehan was the other brother who was involved in the mercantile business. After interesting circumstances in Jack County with the McKeehan families, Reuben Rose McKeehan left and went to Arkansas with the McKeehan families. For more details of the McKeehan move to Arkansas, see the McKeehan files.
