In an undated letter from OliverHarold Bacon, he tells Randy Everette that the William & Matilda Poefamily was moving to California. However, enroute Matilda died and theydiscontinued the trip and remained in Wyoming. Many feel there is Indian blood in this branch of the family as some ofMatilda's children have a definite Indian look to them. This isapparently from Matilda's side as no known Indian blood is on William'sside.¹
