Barnabas Lothrop), Lt. John Jr. (m. Thankful Gorham) and Reliance (m. John Prince Jr.))((*Note-There is conflicting info. on if Capt. Matthew married twice and had children in both marriages. His first marriage is said to be with #1 Hannah ? but the Silver Books so far don't mention a Hannah ? and what child she may have had. The most likely would be Samuel but other sources say Anne. In any case, a good authority in Family of Edward Fuller. Jun 10, 1606, Chigwell, Essex, England), and Agnes Croucher (m. Jan. 14, 1607 in West Horsley, Surrey, England).(*Note-Edward Fuller, was one of the Puritans who left England because of religious persecution. In the time of Queen Elizabeth I, 1558 to 1603, the policy was to enforce absolute uniformity in religious belief. The Puritans were targeted because of their persistent attempts to purify the church and they had stopped with the ceremonies required by the dominant religion. King James I, who succeeded Queen Elizabeth I, also was intolerant of other religions.)3
