Th multiple spellings of the family name (TRESKOWIACKE, TRESKOWICKE, TRESKOWICK, etc.) are a minor inconvenience, in the scheme of things. Issue 1: There are two baptism records in East Newlyn for female children named Christian/Christen of a father, Nicholas TRESKOWICKE/TRESKOWICK:
-- a Christian TRESKOWICKE baptized in 1567 and
-- a second Christen TRESKOWICK baptized twenty-four years later in 1591.
Either could have been the Christian TRESKOWIACKE who married Anthony RAWLINGS in 1616, but the one christened in 1591 seem the more likely as the other would have been at least fifty-two years old in 1591. The Christian of the 1567 baptism could have been the daughter of the Nicholas (the elder), as described in Issue #3, below.

Issue 2: A Nicholas TRESKOWICK was buried in Newlyn on 21 Mar 1590 and the will of a Nich. TRESKOWACK was recorded in 1591 in Newlyn. It seems odd that the 1591 baptism is for the Christian TRESKOWIACKE who married; it is a bit awkward for the Nicholas buried in 1590 to have been recorded as a father at a baptism in 1591, but not impossible. Nonetheless, it appears likely that the Nicholas TRESKOWICK who d. in 1590 was probably the father of the Christian TRESKOWIACKE who m. Anthony RAWLINGS in 1616.
Issue 3: There is a death record for two a Nicholas who was buried in 1590 and a marriage record for a Nicholas who married Annes Colman in 1591. These are obviously not the same man. I have designated Nicholas (the elder) and Nicholas (the younger) and speculate that they were father and son. I have no proof of this relationship. They could as likely have been uncle and nephew, or unrelated.2,3,4,5,6,7
GAV-13. Nicholas (the elder) Treskowiacke was also known as Nicholas (the elder) Treskowick.8 ; The relationship between the older Nicholas and the later Nicholas is unknown, at this point. They might be father son or uncle and nephew. GA Vaut.8
