Tobacco of this Colony said Bowls Armisted his heirs to be paid by said Francis Hume his heirs anully he the said Bowls Armisted hath rented & leased to said Francis Hume land in afd County & bounded Begining at one Beach in ELLEYs line thence with Elleys line W. to ye river Corner to three red oak saplins thence down ye several courses of said River to PARTLOWs Spring Branch to two Locust saplins thence N. to the Begining for and during the natural lifes of Francis Hume & ELIZABETH his Wife and his Son JAMES HUME & the longest liver of them paying five hundred pounds of Tobo said Francis doth oblige himself not to make any waste of Timber nor anyways hurt the land during the term aforesaid & further said Francis Hume his heirs to leave said Tract of land & premises in good repair at the end of the Term aforesaid .

THIS INDENTURE made this 20th day of February 1775 Between SAMUEL ORR Infant and Orphan of SAMUEL ORR deceased of one part and DANIEL FARMER Carpenter & Joyner of the other part Witnesseth that said Samuel Orr with the consent of this County Court of Culpeper doth bind himself apprentice to the said Daniel Farmer for term of Five years to learn the art and trade of a House Carpenter and Joyner which said Term his said Master faithfully serve his secrets keep and his law-full commands at all time readily obey. In Condition whereof said Daniel Farmer doth oblige himself to teach his said apprentice the art & mistery of a House Carpenter and Joyner and also to Read Write and Cypher and to find for him (during the said time) sufficient cloaths meat drink washing and lodging . .
