     "Know all Men by these Presents, That we John E. Armstrong as principal and Mathew M. Coe and Alonzo Thorp as sureties, of the County of Sandusky, and State of Ohio, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Ohio in the penal sum of seventeen hundred dollars lawful money of the United States, to which payment well and truly to be made unto the state of Ohio aforesaid, we do bind ourselves, our heirs, Executors and Administrators, and every of them jointly, and severally, by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dates this 10th day of March A. D. 1851
     "The condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above names John E. Armstrong, Guardian for Lydia Armstrong aged 17yrs, John Armstrong 15 yrs & Mary Armstrong aged 12 years of the county and State aforesaid, minors of John E. Armstrong, shall faithfully account with the Court of Common Pleas for the county of Sandusky, aforesaid, for the management of the property and estate of the aforesaid orphan under his care, and shall deliver up the property and estate aforesaid, together with the profits arising therefrom, to the order of the said Court, or the direction of law, and shall in all respects perform the duty of Guardian to the said minors until they arrive to the age of majority as the law requires, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in law.
     "Signed and delivered in presence of: John E. Armstrong, M. M. Coe, Alonzo Thorp."
