They formerly had Brass Plates, and Portraits upon Them, which have been stolen away since ye Chancells fell. Close by these, was a Stone for Sr. Thomas KEMPE, and Beatrice his Wife. This was used at The Rebuilding the
Steeple, to make Steps up to it. Several other Stones were sold by The Church Wardens, when the Chancell & Steeple were rebuilt, which was in ye Years 1705 and 1706.
     WEEVER says it had ye following Inscription.
