Louis married Ida Luella Griffin on May 20, 1884 in Eau Claire Co., Wisconsin, Ida was the daughter of Henry Clay Griffin and Harriet Adella Butterfield. Was this her family, Henry C., blacksmith, and Harriet living in NY in 1850? Henry Griffin was an Engineer in Mississippi in 1860. By 1880 Henry had died, Ida and her mom were living with her sister's family.
Louis worked as an accountant and was living in Chicago with his family by 1900. At that time Louis and Ida had been married for 16 years and had 0 children, Ida's widowed mother was living with them. They were all in Brooklyn when Hattie A. Griffin died on July 20, 1908. Louis and Ida were still there in 1910. They were back in Chicago, living at 2745 Hampden Ct. at the time of Louis' death. He was buried on April 10, 1918. Ida died on March 5, 1930 in Spokane, Washington.
