RULE, July 1--Funeral for W. S. Franklin, 81, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Primitive Baptist Church. Elder Cain will officiate. Burial will be in Rule Cemetery under direction of Gauntt Funeral Home.
Mr. Franklin died in Haskell Hospital Thursday at 11 p.m. He had been in ill health and was confined to his home here the past several years. He was born March 19, 1874, in Freestone County. He came to Rule in 1907. For some 26 years he was manager of the Rule-Jayton Cottonoil mill.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, C. E. of Lubbock, F. E. of Enid, Okla., and Z. G. of Munday; three daughters, Mrs. T. C. Burnes of Waco and Mrs. Fred Hughes, Rule; and five grandchildren.
Wife's maiden name was WADE.
