Mrs. Pamelia Cloyd Bryant, who was united in marriage a short year ago to Mr. E. H. Bryant, died in child-birth Monday night and was buried at Hustonville Tuesday. A loveable, Christian woman is thus cut down, leaving husband and friends to sorrow, not, however, as those without hope, for she had long since given her heart to God and walked in the paths of righteousness. James M. Bryant was born on 30 October 1826.1 He married Mary Jane Vaughn on 28 February 1830.2
James M. Bryant died on 6 April 1905 at age 78.1
James M. Bryant was buried after 6 April 1905 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence, Jackson Co., Missouri, USA;

James M. Bryant was listed as a resident in George Smith Bryant and Keziah Arnold's household in the census report on 1 June 1830 at Jessamine Co., Kentucky, USA;

Berilla married in 1825 and was not in the household. One young girl is unidentified.
p. 111, line 12
James M. Bryant was listed as a resident in George Smith Bryant and Keziah Arnold's household in the census report in 1840 at Jessamine Co., Kentucky, USA;
George Bryant 1840 United States Federal Census
As some of his children were married by 1840, It is faily easy to determine who some of those enumberated might have been, but he older woman (20-29) and one of the men (20-29) may well be one of George's son's and his spouse. His sons, Isaac and John, match the age of the Unidentified Male. None of the daughters match the age. The youngest boy and girl might be grandchildren.
-- Isaac m.1837 Agnes ARNOLD and apparently had three children (1 son and 2 daughters) before she apparently d1842-1843: David b1838, Keziah b1840, and Berilla 1842.
-- John m. 1838 Martha Ann VAUGHN and apparently had lone son before 1840 (Thomas b. 1839).
Thus it is more likely that if there is a married son in George's household, it would appear to have been Isaa Arnold and Agnes H. (ARNOLD) BRYANT with their son David b1838. this would still leave the younger girl unidentified.
NB: This conclusion is possible, perhaps likely, but not confirmed.
p. 225m, line 14
James M. Bryant was listed as a resident in George Smith Bryant and Keziah Arnold's household in the census report on 4 September 1850 at Blue Township, Jackson Co., Missouri, USA;
George S Bryant 1850 United States Federal Census
Even though George died betwen the date of his weill (20 July 1850) and the date of its probate (12 Aug 1850), he was still recorded as living on 4 Sept 1850 in the 1850 census. George's married dau. American (BRYANT) CHRISTOPHER, and her family, are living with him.
America, George's dau., is mentioned in his July 1850 will, as is her husband, Joseph C. CHRISTOPHER.

James M. Bryant was listed as a resident in George Smith Bryant and Keziah Arnold's household in the census report in 1840 at Jessamine Co., Kentucky, USA;

Dr. David A. Bryant was listed as a resident in George Smith Bryant and Keziah Arnold's household in the census report in 1840 at Jessamine Co., Kentucky, USA;

Dr. David A. Bryant was listed as a resident in George Smith Bryant and Keziah Arnold's household in the census report in 1840 at Jessamine Co., Kentucky, USA;

Thomas D. Arnold appeared in the census of 13 June 1900 at Civil District 15, Jefferson Co., Tennessee, USA;
Thomas as three young children in the 1900 census who were born before his marriage to Eve, so he apparently had an earlier wife. Eve is 47 in the census, so she may have been married earlier, as well. However, in the newspaper article announcing his death, it is said that "He is survived by ... step-sons, George and Frank of Los Angeles." This would indicate that perhaps the children were Eve's and Thomas had adopted them by the time of the census.

NB: It is unclear to me who the head of household (Benjamin LOONEY, aged 62, a wealthy farmer) is and what his relationship might be to George and his family.
I am also unable to identify, the two youngest daughter, Louisa and Ludy (Judy?). His daughter "Sarah H." is not listed but was born ca 1856 as Louisa was. I have found no record of an additional daughter.
