He was ancestor of the Menteiths of Rusky and Kerse (including some of the Dalyell of tbe Binns baronets), for whom see STUART-MENTEITH, Bt."4 Sir John de Menteith laird of Ruskie was also known as Sir John Fitz Walter of Menteith, Earl of Lennox.4
