Malvina/Melvina Banks Hudson died between February 1860 and 11 August 1860 at Kaufman, Kaufman Co., Texas, USA; Death date is based on the fact that Malvina and Enos were in Logan Co., KY in 1858 (deed dated 13 March 1858) and Nancy E. was born in Texas in early 1860. Nancy is shown as 6 months old in the 1860 census (dated 11 August 1860). so Malvina may have died in childbirth or soon thereafter. In the 1860 census, Enos is living with two of Malvina's brother (Reuben Banks and Commodore Perry), and with his two children by Malvina (Carrie and Nannie).15,16

;
NOTE: Recently, I believed that there were reasaonable grounds to believe that I had mis-identified the wife of Enos CLEVENGER (named as "Minerva Parker" in their 1856 marriage record), and that this Minerva was not the same person as the Malvina BANKS who m1 Samuel JENNINGS in 1841 and m2 John PARKER ca 1851-54.
My original decision to identify "Minerva" as "Malvina" was based largely on two facts:
The major reason for my uncertainty has that while I had a DNA match with the HUDSON line, it could certainly come from a different connection (a paternal link). Nieither I nor my mother seemed to have DNA matches (on Ancestry) with individuals who have descents from the Malvina (HUDSON) (JENNINGS) PARKER, which would be a maternal link for me.
I have now re-examined a packet of probate and administration papers relating to the administration of the will of John Parker (d. Jan 1855) that I received in 2017, and believe that I can now confirm two important facts (images of key documents are attached here):
Conclusion: I am now convinced that I have been correct in my assignment of parents and the three marriages for Malvina. I have outlined my thoughts on Minerva, her husbands, and their children in the attached memo. GA Vaut

Hudson is descended from English ancestry who came to this country at a very early day and settled in Virginia, where two of them remained, while one removed to New York and settled on the Hudson River.
Of the two remaining in Virginia, from one, Reuben [sic], is descended the subject of this sketch.
Joshua Hudson, grandfather of Washington, lived in Amherst Co., Va., and was a wealthy and influential farmer, the owner of much land and many slaves, as was killed by the falling of a tree. He was a soldier in the war of 1812.
Aratia Hudson was his only son , who at the age of twenty-one married a Miss Banks, of Garrard co., Ky. Their children were Joshua, James, Washington B., Dr. Lynn B., Nancy, Isaiah B., Reuben, Melvina, Commodore Perry, and Mary Louisa.
Washington B. Hudson was born July 3, 1813, in Garrard co., Ky., on sugar Creek. His boyhood and early manhood were spent at home. Aug. 26, 1833, he was married to Miss Louisa Marksbury, youngest daughter of Isaac Marksbury, a prominent man in his day. He was magistrate of the court for more than twenty years, a man noted for his many good qualities of head and heart, and an active and efficient member of the Christian Church.
The children of W. B. and L. M. Hudson have been William D., Aratia, Isaac M. James, Mollie Lynn, Clayton A., Allie and Thomas J.
Washington B. Hudson after his marriage engaged in farming on his own account. In 1848 he came to Davidson Co., Tenn., and settled on the farm he now occupies, purchasing it from Dr. James Overton. His original purchase was five hundred and fifty-four acres, to which, however, he added from time to until his farm comprised eight hundred acres of excellent land, three hundred acres of which he still retains, the rest having been apportioned to his children on their marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Hudson are members of the Christian Church, a pretty edifice, of which stands at the food of the lane leading to their house, Mr. Hudson bearing the principal part of the cost of its erection."20

Malvina/Melvina Banks Hudson and Enos M. Clevenger immigrated circa 1859 to Johnson Co., Texas, USA; His daughter Nancy was reported as 6 months old and born in Texas in the 11 Aug 1860 federal census; his daughter Carrie was reported as 2 years old and born in KY. This indicates that Malvina was in TX in early 1860 when Nannie was born, must have d. soon after since she doesn't appear in the Aug 1860 census.25

In the 1860 census, Enos is living with two of Malvina's brother (Reuben Banks and Commodore Perry), and with his two children by Malvina (Carrie and Nannie).15,16

;
1. The age of Samuel's widow in the 1850 census is given as 23, which implies that she was born ca 1827. The age of Enos's bride, Minerva, is given as 31 in their 1856 marriage record which implies that she was born ca 1825. Both records indicate that the women were born in Kentucky.
2. Minerva's marriage to Enos is stated to be her third marriage in in their 1856 marriage record, which would be consistent with her having been privously married to m1 JENNINGS and m2 PARKER.
2. Minerva's marriage to Enos is stated to be her third marriage in in their 1856 marriage record, which would be consistent with her having been privously married to m1 JENNINGS and m2 PARKER.
1. The Melvina B. who m. Enos M. CLEVENGER in 1856 was in fact the widow, successively of Samuel JENNINGS and John PARKER. This is clearly laid out in the various probate documents.
2. This same woman was close to a Washington HUDSON and an Isaiah HUDSON (brothers, and children of Horatio and Margaret (BANKS) HUDSON. I believe that the following is strong evidence that these were Malvina's brothers and that she too was a child of Horatio and Margaret HUDSON.
** In the probate materials there is a record of Washington and Isaiah having paid a security on behalf of Melvina's 2nd husband, John PARKER.
** In the 1850 census for Davidson Co., the households of Malvina JENNINGS (a widow since ca 1845), Washington, and Isaiah are on the same two pages (pp. 262-A and 263-A).
** In the 1860 census for Johnson Co., TX, Enos (married since 1856) with his young children by Malvina is on p. 470 in the same household as two of Isaiah's other brothers, Commodore Perry HUDSON (C. P.) and Reben BANKS HUDSON (R. B.) Isaiah HUDSON is on a consecutive page. Clearly Malvina and Enos, migrated from TN to TX along with her three brothers all about the same time (ca 1857-58).

Conclusion: I am now convinced that I have been correct in my assignment of parents and the three marriages for Malvina. I have outlined my thoughts on Minerva, her husbands, and their children in the attached memo. GA Vaut
