Reference: Cope [1901:903-4] discusses two cases of brothers John and Baptist(e) Smedley [Smeadley]. It is unclear if these are the same pair of brother or two different lines. Both seem to have settled in Concord, MA. One then moved to Fairfield, CT. Baptiste Smedley was also known as Baptiste Smeadley.1
