Last Will and Testament of Moore Fauntleroy
I Moore Fautleroy of the county of Richmond,do make this my last will & Testament in manner following.
My soul I cheerfully resign to God in hopes of pardon through our blessed redeemer. My body to the earth to be interred at the directions of my friends. My Wordly estate I give and bequeath as follows:
In Primis, It is my desire that my just debts be paid.
Item I give & bequeath to my brother Robert my gold watch.
Item I give & bequeath to my nephew Henry T. Turner all my coat of arms china.[Either Henry T. Turner or Henry L. Turner, letter is hard to read.]
Item I give & bequeath to the female children of the deceased Daniel Wilson each five pounds cash to be paid out of my estate.
Item I give & bequeath to the blind free negro Billy Lewis forty shillings per annum during his life.
Item It is my desire that at the end of the year one thousand eight hundred & two all my negroes may have their freedom, if it can be effected, but it it can not, it is my desire that they be hired in the county, & not to be removed out against their consent & the money arising from their hires, the one half to be paid to them of the year, in proportion of their hire, the other half the negroes to be cloathed out of,& if any balance, I give & bequeath it to my nephew Henry T. Turner& his heirs forever, and at the end of the above mentionned year, I desire that five pounds cash may be paid to Old Jack Blue, the like sum to be paid to Tom Cary & three pounds to Somerset, - and I desire that Tom Cary may have the greatest part of my every day wearing apparel my linens exepted.
Item of the residue of my estate both real & personal, I give & bequeath three fifths to my brother Robert & his heirs forever. Two thirds of the balance of both real & personal I give & bequeath to my nephew Henry T. Turner & his heirs forever. The other third I give & bequeath to my nephew Edward Hill Carter & his heirs forever.
Lastly,I do nominated & appoint my brother Robert & my nephew Henry T. Turner, executors to this my last will & Testament. December the fifteenth day in the year of our lord One thousand eight hundred & one.

At a Court continued & held for Richmond County the 5th day of April 1803.
This Last Will and Testament of Moore Fauntleroy decd was presented in court by Robert Fauntleroy one of the executors therein named and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the same was all wrote and signed by the said Testator in his own hand writing, was admitted to record and on the motion of the said Robert Fauntleroy who took the oath of an executor and entered into bond with security according to Law, a certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
