Abram Casteel appeared in the census of 1838 at Blount Co., Tennessee, USA; NB: Abraham's wife, Mary (Whittenberger) apparently remarried in 1828. However, An Abraham Castell appeared in the Blount Co., TN tax list in 1838. It is not know if this is the same Abraham or another man (perhaps a relative). May family trees give a date of death for Abram or 19 Sept 1838 in Knoxville, Knox Co., TN, but none of these cite a source for this date or place of death.

; The records on Henry Jr.'s marriage are a bit confusing. There were three marriages recorded in 1839 in Rhea Co., TN for #1 a Henry Whittenbug to an Elizabeth B. Rector; #2 for a Henry N. Whittenberg to an Elizabeth G. Howell; and #3 for a Henry W. Whittenburg to an E. G. Norville. The back of the second record (attached) is endorsed "Marriage Bond Saml. Whittenburg". I have found no sibling of Henry Jr. named Samuel and his father was Henry Sr. Henry Jr.'s full name was probably "John Henry", since that was his father's name and he is listed several times as Henry "Jr.". S it is likely that either Marriage Record #1 is the correct record and his spouse was named Elizabeth B. Rector.
