Son WINDER all my land and plantation extending from the land of WILLIAM CHANDLER which now lies with a mill, into the woods for breadth and HOSKENSES branch - to him and heirs of his body and then to next such heirs. He is under 21. Mother to handle.
Son RICHARD land from HOSKENSES branch including the plantation where William Martin lives; a mile into the woods for breadth and including the land I bought from my brother JOHN and a line of marked trees. To him and heirs of body lawfully begotten and for want of such heirs to my son RODHAM.

Will of Richd. Kenner of Westmoreland County, being very sick and weak in body, dated 17 Nov. 1718.
To my loving son Winder Kenner all my land and plantation where I now live, extending from the land where Mr. Wm. Chandler Chandler (sic) now lives with a mile into the woods for breadth to Hoskeses Branch, when he comes to the age of one and twenty yeares old and till then to remain in the hands of his mother.
To my loving son Richard Kenner all my lands and plantations from Hoskenses branch includeing the plantation where William Martin now lives on, extending a mile into the woods for breadth and including that part of land I first bought of my brother John Kenner, and for want of heirs to my loving son Rodham Kenner and his heirs, my son Richd. Kenner enjoy the premises when he attaines to the age of twenty one yeares and till then to be in the hands of his mother.
To my loving son Rodham Kenner all that part of land I bought of my brother John Kenner, being the remainder part of my land I bought of my brother, extending from the land bequeathed to Richard to the end of my lend, only that part were my brother Jno. Kenner now lives on my brother have dureing his natural life and after his decease to come to my son Rodham, and for want of issue to the next heir, my son to enjoy the premises when he comes to the age of twenty one yeares and till then to remain in the hands of his mother.
To my loving wife Elizabeth Kenner all that land I bought of Francis Attwell Junr. lying on the south side of Machodick river and near the head thereof.
My loving wife have all the rest of estate during her widdowhood.
My mother in law Eliza. Winder have a plentifull living out of my estate suitable to the quantity and quality of my estate dureing her widdowhood or if shee doth not marry dureing her natural life.
If my wife Eliza. Kenner should marry then all my estate be imediately taken out of her hands by my executors and equally divided between my three sons and two daughters, Winder Kenner, Eliza. Kenner, Richard Kenner, Rodham Kenner and Frances Kenner and their heirs. But if my five children decease this life before my wife marry or decease this life, be equally divided between the rest of my children soe surviving.

At a court held for the said County the 25th day of July 1738.
- Winder and Richard Kenner by their petition to this court therein set forth that John Footman, Gent intermarried with Elizabeth, widow and relict of Richard Kenner and mother of the petitioners, that the said Footman has been in possession of all the land belonging to ye petitioners since the said intermarriage without any division made. The petitioners therefore prayed an order of this worshipful court to have the thirds of the land allotted to the said Footman in right of his wife as aforesaid by some persons to be appointed and for that purpose by this court which premises being considered and for the John Footman, Gent being present and consenting, James Thomas, Gent, surveyor of this County is hereby ordered to survey the whole land aforesaid and having so done divide the same into three equal parts and that then the said Thomas, John Bushrod, Gent and William Callis or any two of them do allot the said Footman one third thereof in right of his wife’s dower of the said lands as aforesaid and to report their proceedings herein to the next court to be held for the said County.

THIS INDENTURE made between RICHARD KENNER of County of NORTHUMBERLAND, Gent., of one part and JOHN FOOTMAN of Westmorland County of other part Gent., Witnesseth this Twenty Eighth day of August Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and thirty eight that RICHARD KENNER hath and by these presents doth lease and to farm let one parcel of land called and known by the name of HOSKINS's NECK and is part of the Dividend of Land whereon said JOHN FOOTMAN now lives, All which land lying in the Parish of Cople and County of Westmorland on the upper and North side of the Main Head Branch of LOWER MACHOTIQUE RIVER and bounded, Begining at a Sasafras standing on the bank of a Marsh commonly called and known by the name of HOSKINS's MARSH, thence runing a course of marked trees West and by North to the Road that leads to the House where said FOOTMAN now lives, thence runing along the Road paralel with a line of marked trees to the line that divides Mr. DEBUTTs Land and RICHARD KENNER's, thence down the line to the MACHOTIQUE RIVER or near it concluding the Plantation whereon JOHN MOSS now lives within the said bounds, with all houses orchards fishing and hunting with all other the appurtenances thereunto belonging; To have and to hold the land unto JOHN FOOTMAN and HANNAH FOOTMAN his Daughter during their natural lives and the survivor of them, JOHN FOOTMAN and HANNAH FOOTMAN his Daughter; paying yearly during the lives and survivor of them the Quitrents of the land to the Lord of the Fee and four hundred and thirty pounds of tobacco this present year and every year after on the tenth day of April and JOHN FOOTMAN is hereby obliged to build a sufficient House and plant a hundred Apple trees and not sell or waste the Timber on the Land, And in case JOHN FOOTMAN die before the House is built then HANNAH FOOTMAN. his Daughter, to perform the same and have the Orchard planted; And also sell nor waste the Timber of the land; In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year above written

IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen, I ELIZABETH FOOTMAN of Parish of Copley and County of Westmoreland being very sick and weake of body but of perfect mind and disposing memory, thanks be given unto God for the same, do constitute make and ordain this writing to be my Last Will and Testament, revoking all other former Wills by me made either verbal or written and do ordain this to be my Last Will and no other; And first of all I bequeath my Soul into the hands of God that gave it with a Christian hope of Salvation thro: the merrits of Christ Jesus my Saviour, and I will that my body be decently interred at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named; And as touching such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless and endow me with in this life, I give devise and dispose of after the following manner. I will that all my just and lawful debts be paid.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter, FRANCES YOUELL, all my Cloths and wearing apparel of every kind andnature also my riding horse and saddle, also my Great Looking Glass, and my Desk that stands in the Hall and it is my will and desire that neither the Cloaths, Horse, Saddle, Glass nor Desk shall be appraised, but delivered to my Daughter without.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my Grandaughter. ELIZABETH YOUELL, my Negro man named Prince that was given to me by the Last Will and Testament of my Husband, JOHN FOOTMAN, deceased. and it is my will and desire that my Son in Law, BATTERAW YOUELL, should have the use of the said Negroe and be accountable unto the aforesaid ELIZABETH YOUELL for the worth of him when she either marries or comes of age;
Item. I give and bequeath unto my Grandaughter, ELIZABETH YOUELL, one of my Gold Rings and my Gold boles and Silver tumbler and two Silver spoons and the feather bed and furniture that I lie in myself;
Item. I give and bequeath unto WILLIAM RICE, SENIOR, three barrells of Indian Corn. It is my will and desire that the remainder of my Estate be equally divided amongst my three Children.
Lastly, I nominate ordain and appoint my two Sons, WINDOR KENNER, RICHARD KENNER and my Son in Law, BATTRAW YOUELL, whole and sole Exors. of this my Last Will and Testament; In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10th day of May 1744

My desire is not to have any funeral sermon, and that there he no superfluity of drink disposed of at my funeral.
Son John Cralle-sixty acres of land in "Cherry Point" which bought; of Clement Abridge Junr., and all my land in Richmond County.
Son Thomas Cralle-land I bought of Captain Thomas Jones in Northumberland County except what I have sold from it, also all the land being part in Westmoreland County and part in Northumberland County, and all the land I bought of Joseph Deeks, and all the land lying on the south side of Potomach River in Stafford County.
Two grandsons John and Thomas Cralle, the sons of Thomas and. Hannah Cralle-each one hundred pounds sterling to be disposed of for their use in land or negroes.
Rest of my estate real and personal to be divided equally between my sons John Cralle and Thomas Cralle
David Straughan if alive to inventory my estate.
Executors to give no security, and my two sons to be executors. My executors to pay David Straughan five guinies.

If he should die before he arrives to age or day of marriage, his mother Mary Jones to enjoy two of the said slaves that may be left at his death, she to have her choice during her natural life, then to revert to my children the remaining part-the said Thomas Cralle Lamkin to have two cows and calves, four ewes, one dozen shallow plates, half dozen deep plates, one bed and furniture, the best that may be in the house at my decease, with one lot of silver shoe and knee buckles.
To Mary Jones-two thousand pounds of tobacco and one suit of mourning such as she may make choice of, twelve barrells of corn, eight head hoggs, and what meat she may incline to take that may be in the house at my death.
To son William Matthews Cralle-nine negroes vizt: Chance, Cate, and their daughter Bess, Frank, Alice, Stephen, Cate, Dominy, and Edmond.

Son John Cralle-sixty acres of land in "Cherry Point" which bought; of Clement Abridge Junr., and all my land in Richmond County.
Son Thomas Cralle-land I bought of Captain Thomas Jones in Northumberland County except what I have sold from it, also all the land being part in Westmoreland County and part in Northumberland County, and all the land I bought of Joseph Deeks, and all the land lying on the south side of Potomach River in Stafford County.
Two grandsons John and Thomas Cralle, the sons of Thomas and. Hannah Cralle-each one hundred pounds sterling to be disposed of for their use in land or negroes.
Rest of my estate real and personal to be divided equally between my sons John Cralle and Thomas Cralle
David Straughan if alive to inventory my estate.
Executors to give no security, and my two sons to be executors. My executors to pay David Straughan five guinies.

To Thomas Cralle Lamkin, son of Mary Jones, widow and relict of Charles Jones late of Northumberland county-five negroes vizt: Little Ben, Isaac, Peggs Bess, Blacka Top and Aggy. If he should die before he arrives to age or day of marriage, his mother Mary Jones to enjoy two of the said slaves that may be left at his death, she to have her choice during her natural life, then to revert to my children the remaining part-the said Thomas Cralle Lamkin to have two cows and calves, four ewes, one dozen shallow plates, half dozen deep plates, one bed and furniture, the best that may be in the house at my decease, with one lot of silver shoe and knee buckles.
To Mary Jones-two thousand pounds of tobacco and one suit of mourning such as she may make choice of, twelve barrells of corn, eight head hoggs, and what meat she may incline to take that may be in the house at my death.
To son William Matthews Cralle-nine negroes vizt: Chance, Cate, and their daughter Bess, Frank, Alice, Stephen, Cate, Dominy, and Edmond.
Mullatto man Will, may be free at my decease.
To son Rodham Kenner Cralle-three negroes vizt: Harry, George, and Nanny, and my watch.
Desk and clock to remain to the feehold.
To daughter Mary Foushee-my silver Tankard, and negro wench Rose Anna.
Rest of estate both real and personal to be equally divided between five children Kenner, John, Rodham, William, and Mary, except Ben and Matthews whom I give to my son Kenner, son John to have, Rachel Old Ben to make choice of his master among my children.
My horse Sparrow and saddle to be excepted out of my will.
