Susan Ann HART vs. Susan A. (Ann) (HART) KOON(S):
This is the Susan A. (Ann?) HART (1812-1894) who married Henry G. KOON(S)/COON and who is named in the 1851 will of Susan Ann HART (1801-1851).
The name Susan was fairly common among the descendants of Epenetus HART (bef 1736-1801/2). Some Ancestry family trees assign Susan A. (Ann?) (HART) KOON (1812-1894) as the daughter of Alexander (1774/77-1829) and Susan (RIGGS) (ca1778-ca1820) HART, the son of Epenetus. I believe that Armstrong and Susan (RIGGS) HART had a daughter named Susan Ann HART, but that she was born in Ontario Co., NY in 1801 and died (apparently unmarried) in Summit Co., OH in 1851.
I believe that Susan Ann HART (1801-1851) was the dau. of Armstrong and Susan (RIGGS) HART because her will names as beneficiaries a large number of people from Ontario Co., NY who would be her 1st cousins and nieces if this relationship holds. In fact, the will of "Ohio Susan" also names ""Susan Koon wife of Henry Koon of Prattsburgh, said Susan Koon is now in Penyan I believe that Susan Ann HART (1801-1851) was the dau. of Armstrong and Susan (RIGGS) HART because her will names as beneficiaries a large number of people from Ontario Co., NY who would be her 1st cousins and nieces if this relationship holds. In fact, theI believe that Susan Ann HART (1801-1851) was the dau. of Armstrong and Susan (RIGGS) HART because her will names as beneficiaries a large number of people from Ontario Co., NY who would be her 1st cousins and nieces if this relationship holds. In fact, the will of "Ohio Susan" also names ""Susan Koon wife of Henry Koon of Prattsburgh, said Susan Koon is now in Penyan I believe that Susan Ann HART (1801-1851) was the dau. of Armstrong and Susan (RIGGS) HART because her will names as beneficiaries a large numb[sic]" and (later) "Susan A Koon of the Village of Penyan [sic], Yates Co." By this we can conclude that Susan Ann HART (1801-1851) and Susan A. (Ann?) (HART?) KOON (1812-1894) were two different women.
Susan A. (Ann?) (HART) married Henry G. KOON of Prattsburgh, Steuben Co., NY in 1833. Mary/Mariah HART (1084-1897), another daughter of Armstrong and Susan (RIGGS) HART also married a man in Prattsburgh, William B. SHATTUCK (1784-1871), ten years earlier in 1823. So there is some link of the family of Epenetus to Prattsburgh. However, I believe that Susan A. (Ann?) (HART) KOONS (1812-1894) was too young to have been Armstrong's daughter.
Susan and Henry KOON had a son named Henry Hart KOON. Henry Hart KOON (1838-1897) had a son he named William Hart KOON (1873-1955). Susan and Henry KOON also had a daughter named Emma S. KOON (1849-unk). Giving HART as the middle name of their son implies the likelihood of a HART connection. Naming their daughter Emma may imply a connection to the Emma/Emmy HART (1799-aft 1829) who was also a daughter of Armstrong and Susan (RIGGS) HART. (In perhaps a total coincidence, Susan Ann HART (1801-1851) adopted a woman in Ohio named Emma H. Pease and also named her in her will.)
Armstrong and Susan (RIGGS) HART had four daughters:
1. Emma/Emmy (1799-aft1829)
2. Susan Ann (1801-1851)
3. Mary/Mariah (1805-1897)
4. Elizabeth "Eliza" (c1805-1900)
In his will of 26 November 1829, Armstong mentions, "my four daughters in New York, to wit, Maria, Eliza, Emmy and Susan Ann." The order of their names is not the order of their birth. Susan Ann HART appears to have still been living in Canandaigua, Ontario Co., NY in 1830 (1830 Census), and moved to Ohio sometime before 16 Dec 1847 (the date of her will written there).
Armstrong left Susan and his four daughters behind in NY and migrated to Missouri sometime between 1813 (when Armstrong's name was dropped from the Benton Twp., Yates Co., NY) jury list and 1822/23 (when he married Nancy (TODD) MURPHY in Washington Twp., Franklin Co., MO). I have no information regarding the reason or exact timing of his split from Susan, but I think that it is unlikely that they would have had a daughter as late as 1812.
My initial theory about the identity of Susan A. (Ann?) (HART) KOONS is that she was a HART, based on her giving her son this name, but that she was either 1) a child of one of Armstrong's siblings, or 2) that she came from another HART line in the same area. I continue to research this issue.
In conclusion, there were two separate women, Susan Ann HART (d. Ohio 1851) and Susan A. (HART?) KOON but the may have been related.

This could be Henry Hart (aged 17 at the time) if the 10-20 year old, was mislabeled "Fem." instead of "Male".

This might be Emma, the daughter of Henry G. and Susan KOON, who were in Kankakee for the 1860 census and had a daughter Emma S. in their household, aged 11 on 9 June 1860. However all of the initials on the gravemarker are wrong: F. instead of S. for Emma, J. instead of S. for Susan, and M. instead of H. for Henry.
