If correct, this would mean that her father had a first wife before his marriage to Sarah Lockwood, which is possible. However, Sarah Lockwood's mother was named Mercy; Mercy Platt, if born 1690, would have been older than her husband; and I suspect that the date of her birth may have been 6 Jan. 1695 [1695/6], which would make her the eldest child by Sarah Lockwood.[End Quote]² He was a mentioned with Deacon Richard Platt;
