Walter de Graham of Abercorn1
M, #92351, b. circa 1100

Walter de Graham of Abercorn was born circa 1100.1
;
Per Genealogics:
"Monk authors allege that the Grahams could trace their descent from a warrior called Graeme, who is said to have commanded the army of Fergus II in 404, to have been governor of the kingdom of the monarchy of Eugene, and in 420 to have made a breach in the wall erected by the Emperor Severus between the Firth of Forth and the Clyde, and which accordingly was said to have derived the name Graeme's Dyke from the Scottish warrior. The 'gallant Grahams', as they are termed in Scottish ballads, did not need fables to increase their fame, for few of the great old houses in Scotland have such an illustrious history.
"Like most of the ancient Scottish families, the Grahams were of Anglo-Norman origin, and they settled in Scotland during the twelfth century. The first of the race whose name occurs in the records of Scotland was Sir William de Graeme (or Graham), who received from King David I the lands of Abercorn and Dalkeith, which descended to Peter, the elder of two sons to have progeny.
"Little else is recorded with certainty about William, though one source places him with the forces of Henry I, king of England at Laigle in 1116 and in 1119 at the Battle of Bremule, and states that he commanded the English forces in the Battle of Bourgtesraude in 1124. In Scotland by 1125, he witnessed a charter in 1128 for the foundation of Holyrood Abbey by King David I for the Canons Regular of St. Augustine. William is said to have died in that year. He was an ancestor of the Grahams who became earls and dukes of Montrose."1
