; NB: I am still trying to sort out these three James and their wives, Lydia. Are they all the same one couple?

There is a James McLean (b 23 Oct 1816 d 13 Sep 1852) who died in Wayne Co., NW, and who apparently married a Lydia A. Lyon (see Lyon.Manning.Burr FTM3_2017 - James McLean).
There is a James F. McLean (b 1816 d 13 Sep 1852) who is buried in Fairmount (Fair Mount) Cemetery in Wayne County. (See FAG Memorial and Wayne County NYGenWeb cemetery page).
Wolcott, Wayne Co. (where this James F. is buried) is about 50 miles north of Benton Twp., Yates Co. It is feasible that James, son of William F. Mclean, somehow met and married a woman from Wayne Co.
There are some reasons that make it possible that the James F. buried in Wayne Co., was the James, son of William F. Mclean of Benton Twp., Yates Co.:
Wolcott, Wayne Co. (where this James F. is buried) is about 50 miles north of Benton Twp., Yates Co. It is feasible that James, son of William F. Mclean, somehow met and married a woman from Wayne Co.
The DOB of James F. (23 Oct 1816) is calculated from the grave marker inscription that he was aged "35y 10m 21d" at death. The DOB of James, son of William, is from the Sarah (Armstrong) McLean Bible, which gives the DOB as 8(?) Oct 1816.
The DOD of James F. (13 Sep 1853) is from the inscription his grave marker. The DOD of James, son of William, is given in the Sarah (Armstrong) McLean Bible and appears to read "September the 13th 1852" (with "September the 13th" crossed out and "October the 8" is written in.

I have chosen to link these two men for the moment, but this requires further research. GA Vaut
