From the Book, "A Brashear(s) Family History, Volume 4", the following, by Charles Brashear:
"On 23 Sep 1777, William Brashiers vs. Robert Hambleton. This day came the Plff, and Thomas Hambleton personally appeared in Court and undertook for the defendant that in case he shall be cast in this suit, he shall pay and satisfy the condemnation of the court or render his body to prison in execution of the same or that the said Thomas Hambleton will do it for him. whereupon the Deft prays and hath leave to imparl [sic] untill next court and then to plead."

"William apparently left Pennsylvania immediately after this judgment, for he starts showing up in Jefferson CO, Ky, records about six weeks later."
1779 - Got a land grand on Simpson's Creek which is in present day Nelson County, in the neighborhood of Bloomfield, northeast of Bardstown.
1781 - His name was still on the Washington County Tax List as a property owner in Strabane Township.
In addition, Charles seems to have planted such a claim on Brashear's Creek in present day Spencer/Shelby County, and one on Simpson's Creek in present day Nelson County, a claim where The William Brashear who died in 1789 seems to have lived.
Gravesite Details There may be exfoliated, sunken, buried, field stones, as grave markers, for these early Dutch/English congregation of colonists. The majority of the deceased were buried in unmarked graves.
