James Stewart Earl of Moray was born circa 1500.2 He married Elizabeth Campbell, daughter of Colin Campbell 3rd Earl of Argyll and Jean Gordon, in August 1529.2

Mary Richford was born circa 1618 at France. She married Benois [Benjamin] Brasseur, son of Maurice Brassier and Marie de Cledes, circa 1645 at Nansemond Co., Virginia, USA.1
Mary Richford died after 1663 at Calvert Co., Maryland, USA.1 She married Thomas Sterling after 1663.1

The surname of Mary Brasseur is believed to be Richford. This is based solely on the importation of a Mary Richford by Benois Brasseur as mentioned above.
After the death of Benois, Mary secured a deed to the land and the house the family had from Richard Bennett (Maryland Archives, vol. 41, p. 178). She also made a will at this time. The will was probated after she became the wife of Thomas Starling.
