THIS INDENTURE made this XII day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty six Between ROBERT TERRELL of County of LINCOLN of one part and LEWIS CONNER of Culpeper County of other part; Witnesseth that ROBERT TERRELL in consideration of the sum of Two hundred pounds current money of Virginia in hand paid, by these presents doth bargain and sell unto LEWIS CONNER his heirs one parcel of land containing One hundred and twenty seven acres be the same more or less lying in County of Culpeper and bounded, Begining at a Hicory on a Rock on the North side of the ROBINSON RIVER opposite the Old Mill and tuning thence North thirty five degrees West fifty eight pole to a Locust in the Field, thence North forty five degrees West one hundred and forty two pole to a Hicory and red Oak in the old line, thence with said old line North forty five degrees East sixty six pole to a parcel of Maples on the Bank of the BEVER RUN then down the said Run to a Hicory and Maple at the mouth of said Run on the bank of the ROBINSON RIVER, thence up the said River to the begining, containing One hundred and twenty seven acres with all houses orchards profits and appurtenances thereunto belonging, and all the estate right title or demand of ROBERT TERRELL in and to the same; To have and to hold the One hundred and twenty seven acres of land be the same more or less according to the bounds above specified with the improvements unto LEWIS CONNER his heirs free from all manner of incumbrances; In Witness whereof the said ROBERT TERRELL have hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written

The 8th of Decemb; 1662. Unto all to whom these p:sents shal come I AUGUSTINE MOORE of the OLD POQUOSEN in the County of ELIZ: CITTY in Virginia sendth greeting, KNOW yee that I the sd AUGT. MOORE with the consent of my Wife, MARY MOORE, upon good consideracon reced of JO: SCARBOROW, Planter, and for divers other good causes me thereunto moving have granted aliened & confirmed & do freely sel unto JOHN SCARBROW his heirs & assigns Three hundred acres of land & being upon PIEANKITANK RIVER given & granted by Patent to me the sd AUG: MOORE in a p:cel of 656 acres & the sd 300 acres of land lying & begining down toward the mouth of the River & so taking his due share upon the River of 300 acres of land wth: his length into the woods so far as the sd 600 for length And he the sd JO: SCARBOROW to have & to hold the sd land wth: all pvilidges inlett outlett ingrs outgates wth: al other comodities he the sd JO: SCARBOROW paying all Rents & fees that shal be put on or accustomed & I the sd AUGUSTINE MOORE do warrant the sd 300 acres of land from me or any p:sons under me given & granted unto JO: SCARBOROW his heirs or assigns in manner & forme aforesd. shal & vil warrant & defend the sd land for & by these p:sents In Witnes whereof I the sd AUGUSTINE MOORE have unto these p:sents set our hands & seales the day & year above written

The Last Will and Testimony of JOHN SCARBRO And that he bequeathes his Soule to God Almighty and his body to the ground and that I give unto my Dafter MARY two cows and a feather beade and all the furniture that belongeth unto it and four puter dishes and the sulver Bool after my wifes death and the rest of my estate I leave fully and to my wife and to her disposinge to bee distributed equally amoungst the rest of my children. I desire Capt. BEVERLEY & of my Wifes Brother AUGUSTINE MOORE to aide and assiste my Wife in whatever they can see that my Children have that is theyre righte if please God my Wife should die

My beloved wife shall keep in possession the aforesaid estate during her life.
The place formerly belonging to Mr. Marks belongs to Benjamin.
This place where I live belongs to John.
