Also in the Texas 14th Calvary, Ben Johnson's Regiment. After the war he farmed and was married, had 11 children. In 1896 he was appointed Deputy County Marshal by Marshal Samuel H. Chiles. Listed in the 1895 Jackson County U.C.V. roster. He was president of the U.C.V.

Kirby Smith which mustered into the service of the C. S. A. on 15 Feb 1862. He joined at Johnsons's Station, Texxas. He was wouded in action near Corinth, Tennessee and died 31 May 1862."³
