Sir Peter de Segrave Knt. died in 1330.1
; SIR PETER DE SEGRAVE, fought in the campaign against Llywellyn of Wales, under the leadership of his f in 1282 (Parl(y) Writs 1.832), was at the Siege of Caerlaverock in Scotland, June, 1300, where he is described as a valiant, bold and courageous Knight (Siege of Caerlaverock, Barons Wars, etc.) In 1307 he was imprisoned by order of King EDWARD I for joining the Barons in Rebellion, but after that Monarch's death a few months later his successor, King EDWARD II, again took him into favour, and sent him to Ireland in 1320 (Patent Rolls), where he settled in Co Meath (Ball's History). Owing to the archives of Ireland being burned in the Irish Rebellion of 1922, it has been almost impossible to find out anything about him after he reached that country, but he would be co-eval with his second cousin, Stephen de Segrave, who was Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of all Ireland from 1323 to 1333. Also, according to the Patent Rolls, his bro had Licence to visit him. He d 1330, and was s by his son.1
