      ; THOMAS CORNEWALL, 6th Baron of Burford, Sheriff of Salop 1459, supported the Lancastrian cause in the Wars of the Roses, attainted 1461, and imprisoned in Ludlow Castle, where he was permitted the society of his sis, Lady Croft, governess to the young princes there in custody; m Elizabeth, dau of Sir Roland Lenthall (see 1886 edn, LENTHALL of Bessels Leigh) (it was through this marriage that the present representative of the family derives his co-heirship to the Baronies of Grey of Codnor, and Bassett of Sapcote), and d 1473, leaving, with other issue,
