His possible 2nd?? wife. The proposed date of marriage is the date of birth of their son from the 1860 census, but it is not certain if this is really a second wife, or a name mistake in the census. His wife Sarah could also have been known as "Sallie".^2,3
     Salina S. (?) and George W. Young appeared in the census of 11 July 1860 at District 2, Hickman Co., Tennessee, USA; Next door to his nephew Nathaniel Young, son of Nathaniel 71570. However, this census record is problematic as it implies that George remaried a woman named Salina S. (MNU), after his first wife. Sarah G. (MNU). However, as his mother, Jemima, is present in the record this must be correct. Nonethless, in the 1880 census there is a George of the correct age, with a wife named Sarah.
