Job Parks (Jr.) was born on 4 March 1758 at Smith Island, Coventry Parish, Somerset Co., Maryland, USA;
Per Walczyk: On 4 March 1758 Job and Mary Parks had Job PARKS of Job Sr in Somerset Co, MD (Dryden Leslie, Families of Smith, p 12).
Maryland, U.S., Births and Christenings Index, 1662-1911
;
Per MilesFiles: Date of marriage was ca 1790. However, Walczyk says: Job Parks of Arthur elder and Mary Parks son Job Parks married Rhoda EVANS of Richard circa 1785 (Accomack County Virginia Wills., Accomack County Court House (Accomac VA.), 13:20 (hereafter cited as Accomack County, Will Book). Accomack County Virginia Deeds, (Accomack County Court House, Accomac VA), 1818-1819:185,187 (hereafter cited as Accomack County, Deeds). (hereafter cited as Accomack County Deaths, 1853-1896) (The death of Zipporah Crockett).1,3,7,6 Job Parks (Jr.) married Nancy Hart on 1 September 1798 at Dorchester Co., Maryland, USA,

NB: There is a Find a Grave memorial (#90959459) for a Job PARKS unk - 3 Jan 1849 and with a spouse Nancy PARKS (1779-1 Apr 1829), but they died and wre buried in Mason Co., KY. I have no information the Job PARKS #100583, son of Arthur Job PARKS #100444 died in KY. Therefore I assume that this marriage to a Nancy HART has been eronneously assinged to Job PARKS #100583.

I have a couple of concerns about this Job PARKS.
1. Some family trees show that he was married 1) Rhoda EVANS and 2) Nancy HART. However, there are a Job PARKS and Nancy (HART) PARKS buried in Mason Co., KY, though other report that this Job PARKS died in Somerset Co., MD.
The marriage record for a Job PARKS and a Nancy HART shows their marriage in Dorcehster Co., MD. The 1800 census for Dorchester Co., MD has a Job PARKS with a woman in the household too young to have been Rhoda (EVANS) PARKS, but of the appoximately right age to have been Nancy (HART) PARKS.
The 1810 census for Dorchester Co., MD has a Job PARKS with a woman in the household approximately the right age to have been Rhoda (EVANS) PARKS, but too old to have been Nancy (HART) PARKS.
The 1820, 1830 and 1840 censuses all see to me to be the correct Job and Rhoda (EVANS) PARKS in that the ages are appropriate. Also, there is an 1819 deed by Job PARKS and Rhoda "his wife" that establishes there residence as Tangier Island, Accomack Co., VA.

Per Walczyk:
In the Deposition of Witnesses taken on 29 May 1872 on Horse Hummock, at the Maryland - Virginia, State Line to adjust the State Line James T. EVANS of Laban speaks about Job PARKS of Job Sr and states that Job Parks told him his age (Walcyzk, Gail M., Deposition, p 10).
In the Deposition of Witnesses taken on 29 May 1872 on Horse Hummock, at the Maryland - Virginia, State Line to adjust the State Line James T. EVANS of Laban speaks about Job PARKS of Job Sr and states that Job Parks was the father of Stephen Parks (Ibid., p 11).
In the Deposition of Witnesses taken on 29 May 1872 on Horse Hummock, at the Maryland - Virginia, State Line to adjust the State Line James T. EVANS of Laban speaks about Job PARKS of Job Sr and states that Job spoke about his service in the Revolutionary War (Ibid., p 11).
In the Deposition of Witnesses taken on 3 June 1872 in Crisfield, Somerset Co, MD to adjust the State Line Henry L. DIZE of Daniel speaks about Job PARKS of Job Sr and states among other things that John Parks was the brother of Job (Ibid., p 27).6
Job Parks (Jr.) began military service in 1780 at Revolutionary War, Somerset Co., Maryland, USA,
Per Walczyk: "Job Parks of Job Sr enlisted in the military in 1780 in Somerset Co, MD in the Militia under Capt. Henry Miles (Clements, S. Eugene & Wright, F. Edward, Maryland Militia, p 221)."6
Job Parks (Jr.) appeared on the census of 4 August 1800 in the household of Job Parks (Sr.) and Mary G. Bradshaw at Dividing Creek, Somerset Co., Maryland, USA;
I do not always know if these records are for Job Sr. #100444 or Job Jr.#100583. There may have been multiple "Job PARKS, which might explain the existence of contemporaneous records from both Somerset Co., MD and Accomack Co., VA."
Per Walczyk: Job Parks of Job Sr was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census in Accomack Co., VA.

1800 Tax List for Accomack Co., VA

There is also a "Jobe" PARKS listed in the 1800 federal census for Dividing Creek, Somerset Co., MD. This is an older Job (45 or more), next to a William EVANS. and on the page before John CROCKETT #100486. (The PARKS, EVANS, and CROCKETT families intermarried numerous times).
1800 United States Federal Census
p. 50, line 23
Analysis: This census household matches the elder Job PARKS Sr. #100444 and his wife Mary (BRADSHAW) PARKS #100445, who died in 1800 or soon thereafter, or even an unmarried daughTer (e.g., Mary PARKS b 1752), in the event that Mary had died prior to the census date of 4 August 1800. The older male listed couldhave been Job PARKS Jr. #100583, but the woman is too old to have been his wife Rhoda (EVANS) PARKS (b ca 1770.)12,13,6,14
Job Parks (Jr.) and Rhoda "Rhody" Evans appeared in the census of 1810 at Dorchester Co., Maryland, USA;
NB: The age of the older woman in this listing (26-44) is correct for it to have been Rhoda (EVNS) PARKS #100466.

Job Parks (Jr.) appeared on the census of 4 August 1800 in the household of Job Parks (Sr.) and Mary G. Bradshaw at Dividing Creek, Somerset Co., Maryland, USA;

Job Parks (Jr.) and Rhoda "Rhody" Evans appeared in the census of 1810 at Dorchester Co., Maryland, USA;
NB: The age of the older woman in this listing (26-44) is correct for it to have been Rhoda (EVNS) PARKS #100466.
