     He was kept a boarding school in Uwchlan at Uwchlan Township, Chester Co., Pennsylvania, USA.¹

; they kept a boarding school for ten years, after which they settled on afarm adjoining his father's land, of which he inherited a portion bywill. Their house was a station on the Underground Railroad and shelteredmany a fugitive fleeing from slavery. William Trimble was an activemember of his meeting, a useful citizen and the first president of theDowningtown National Bank.¹
