Amadeus was also the antipope Felix V, elected by the Council of Basel-Ferrara-Florence, from November 1439 to April 1449.

"Margarethe was born in Morges on 7 August 1420, the daughter of Amadeo VIII, duke of Savoy, and Marie de Bourgogne, and was raised in Turin.
"On 31 August 1432, aged 14, Margarethe was married to Louis III, duc d'Anjou, titular king of Naples, the son of Louis II, duc d'Anjou, titular king of Naples, and his second wife Yolande of Aragón. He died in 1434, and on 18 October 1445 she married Ludwig IV, Kurfürst von der Pfalz, elder son of Ludwig III, Kurfürst von der Pfalz, and his second wife Mathilde de Savoie. They had two children of whom Philipp would have progeny. Ludwig died in 1449, and about 11 November 1453 she became the third wife of Ulrich V 'der Vielgeliebte', Graf von Württemberg-Stuttgart, the younger son of Eberhard IV 'der Jüngere', Graf von Württemberg, and Henriette von Mömpelgard. Their three daughters would all have progeny.
"Margarethe had a highly developed interest in literature, and she acquired many manuscripts, either as gifts or works she had commissioned.
"She died in Stuttgart on 30 September 1479, almost a year before her husband, and was buried in its Stiftskirche."12 She was Duchess consort of Anjou; Countess consort of Maine, Provence, Forcalquier and Piedmont; Duchess consort of Calabria between 1431 and 1434.11 She was Electress of the Palatinate between 1445 and 1449.11 She was Countess consort of Württemberg between 1453 and 1479.11
