      ; per van de Pas: "After assuming Audley as his surname, he married Elizabeth Courtenay, widow of Sir James Luttrell, of Dunster Castle, and they became the parents of, at least, three children. On 8 July 1461, as the king's esquire, he was appointed constable of the king's castle of Southampton for life. On 6 May 1471 when fighting on the Lancastrian side, he was killed at the battle of Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. In 1472, in a petition, his brother referred to him as a knight. His widow, who had kept her title of Lady Luttrell, married a third time, again keeping the title from her first husband."¹
