Benjamin Franklin Broyles was born between 1835 and 1836 at Alabama, USA; Age 14 in 1850 census; 24 in 1860 census.4,2,5 He married Narcissa "Sis" Hooper, daughter of Clemon C. Hooper and Eliza (?), before 1867
; His 1st wife?. According to the 1870 census, their oldest child, "W. T. S.", was born in 1867.6 Benjamin Franklin Broyles married Carline (?) before 21 June 1880
; His 2nd wife? His wife in the 1870 census is named Narcissa and was born c 1842 in NC. His wife in the 1880 census is named Carline and was born c1836, also in NC. It is possible that these are two different women and that Narcissa died before June 1880. However, Narcissa's memorial on Find A Grave shows that she died in 1913 and was buried in the same cemetery as Benjamin. There is no "Carline" buried there. So I believe that it is more likely that "Narcissa" and "Carline" are the same person. G. A. Vaut.7,8
