Robins & Wife to Stuart [Steward] Indenture
This indenture made the 11th day of January 1770 between Thomas Robins and Sarah Robins his wife of the County of Westmoreland of the one part and Jeremiah Stuart of the County of King George of the other part. Witnesseth that Thomas Robins and Sarah Robins his wife in consideration of 100 pounds current money of Virginia has sold unto Jeremiah Stuart all that tract ling and being for the most part in the County of Westmoreland, a small part thereof extending into the County of King George, containing by estimation 200 acres which said plantation descended to the said Thomas Robins at the death of his father Thomas Robins who purchased the said plantation of one Francis Wright by whose deed the title and bounds may more particular appear. At this present time the said plantation and land is adjacent to and surrounded by the lands of George Riding, the Glebe land of Washington Parish and that of Moses Pitman. In witness whereof the said Thomas Robins and Sarah Robins have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.

Therefore, we do give unto you or any two of you power to receive the acknowledgement which the said Sarah Robins shall be willing to make. Witness, James Davenport, clerk of our said court the 10th day of January 1770.
West. Sct. We the subscribers in obedience to the above writ went to Sarah Robins and examined her privy and apart from her husband concerning conveyance hereunto annexed and do hereby certify that she did declare to us that she doth freely and voluntarily acknowledge the conveyance and she is willing the same be recorded in the court of Westmoreland County.
