     One hundred and sixty-three more Utah Indian war veterans and widow of veterans were yesterday declared by the state board of examiners to be entitled to participate in the distribution of the $25,000 appropriated by the last legislature for their relief. Warrants for $10 each are being issued by State Auditor Joseph Ririe.
     Approximately 2000 veterans and widows are expected to prove title to participation in the distribution, and their applications are being worked out as rapidly as possible by Mrs Elizabeth M Cohen, Indian war pension commissioner for Utah.

     FILLMORE--Feb 16, Mrs Lamira Mace Brunson died here Feb 12, at the home of her daughter, Mrs Clarrilla Wade. Mrs Brunson was the daughter of Hyrum and Elizabeth Mace, born in Michigan, Jan 14, 1840. She went with her parents to Nauvoo, where her father worked on the temple. She was baptized when nine years of age and arrived in Utah with her parents in 1850 [1852].
     In 1852 the family moved to Fillmore, where the father assisted in building the state house. She became the wife of Bishop Lewis Brunson in 1857, and was the mother of seven children of whom two have preceded her in death. She is survived by four sons and one daughter, Semour Lewis of Meadow, Hyrum of Salt Lake City, Arthur M., Mrs Clarilla Wade, and Harvey Brunson of Fillmore.
     The deceased was of a quiet, unassuming disposition, faithful in the observance of her religious dutios. She mothered her husband's first wife's children with as much care and anxiety as her own.

     Wednesday evening the death occurred of Mrs Elizabeth Armitta Brunson, at the advanced age of 81 years. Mrs Brunson had been ill a short time ago, but at the time of her death was thought to be in fair health. She was able to cook her own meals Wednesday, and retired as she always did about 4:30 At 5:30, her granddaughter, Mrs Alfred Whatcott who was living in the same house with her, went in to see if she wanted anything. Mrs Brunson was lying on her side and looked like she was sleeping. Again at 8:30 Mrs Whatcott went in to see that she was all right just before the family retired. This time she found that her grandmother had passed away, apparently without any pain, or warning that death was so near.
     Her son Edward Brunson, with whom she has lived for the past several years is spending the winter in California. Two daughters reside in other parts of the state. Mrs Brunson had lived a long and active life. She was of member of the L. D. S. Church.Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Second Ward Chapel.      1928 Funeral Fillmore, Millard, Utah - Funeral Services for Elizabeth Armitta Brunson Sunday
     Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Second Ward Chapel over the remains of Mrs Elizabeth Armittta Brunson, who passed away at her home on the evening of February 8th at the age of 81 years. The speakers were Don C Wixom, F A Dobison and Peter L Brunson, all of whom spoke words of praise for the life and habits of the deceased. Opening and closing hymns were sung by the choir and a male quartet and a double mixed quartet were interspersed between the speakers.
     The chapel was well filled with friends and relatives who came to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed. Mrs Brunson is survived by one son, S E Brunson, now residing in Los Angeles, and three daughters, Mrs Pearl Hollway of Blackfoot, Idaho, Mrs Delia Church of Oasis and Mrs Emily Jane Hepworth of McGill, Nevada, also, by 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.      The body of Mr. Hyrum Mace, who died in Salt Lake last Friday was shipped to Fillmore for burial which took place last Monday. Mr. Mace was a true Latter-Day Saint all his life. A hard working conscientious man, who never knowingly done his fellow man a wrong. He leaves behind him to mourn his loss, three sons, Ivan, Burr and Fred and a daughter Laura Elizabeth. Interment was in the city cemetery. The speakers at the funeral were F.A. Robison, John Cooper and P.L. Brunson. All testified to the good character of the deceased. Appropriate music was rendered by the ward choir.

     Celestia Mace is the sister of my Great Grandmother and the daughter of Mormon Pioneers, Hiram & Elizabeth [Armstrong] Mace. She was born during a time of relative peace after her family had spent a few tumultuous years of persecution for joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Celestia had 6 sisters, 2 of whom died -each at age 1 in Nauvoo, Illinois, during these persecutions, and 4 brothers; she was next to the youngest of her siblings. Celestia married Stephen Alexander Duggins (1864-1943). Stephen's parents: Mary E Bishop and William Duggins
     Celestia & Stephen both grew up in Fillmore, Utah. After they married, they lived in Millard County, Utah, Washington State, Salt Lake City, & Sacramento, California. Stephen worked as a Miner, a Home Contractor, & a Barber while Celestia cared for their children & home. They both died in Sacramento.
