Anne Rachel Gorsuch was born abt 1666 in Talbot County, Maryland. She was the daughter of Richard Gorsuch (1637-1694) and Elizabeth Row Gorsuch (1639-1719). Anne married William Phelps (1657-1748) in 1680. He was the son of Thomas Phelps (1624-1674) and Ellinor Howard Phelps (1626-1674).
William and Anne Rachel Gorsuch Phelps were the parents of John Phelps (1683-1746). Don't know if they had any other children. This is an interesting family from reading this page in this book: "Pedigrees of Some of the Emperor Charlemagne's Descendants. Volume I" page 190 shows that Anne Barne married Sir William Lovelace who was a knight from Kent, England. Their daughter, Anne Lovelace born around 1611 married Reverend John Gorsuch. Their son, Richard Gorsuch was Anne Rachel's dad. This book tells us that Anne Gorsuch married William Phelps. Their son, John married Margaret. We have discovered on ancestry.com that this is Martha Margaret Talbot. John and Martha Margaret Phelps were the parents of Col. John Phelps.
There's a real good Wikipedia article about Chalemagne at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlemagne.
Charlemagne 2 April 742 – 28 January 814), also known as Charles the Great or Charles I, was the King of the Franks from 768, the King of Italy from 774, the first Holy Roman Emperor, and the first emperor in western Europe since the collapse of the Western Roman Empire three centuries earlier.
Ann died on 12 Sep 1711 in Anne Arundel, Maryland, United States. She was 46 years old.
