His widow m Alexander Campbell, of Skipnish, 2nd s of 2nd Earl of Argyll (see ARGYLL, D). This Lady, the victim of the implacable anger of JAMES V against the house of Douglas, was condemned to the flames, and endured the savage sentence on the Castle Hill of Edinburgh, 17 July 1537. Her husband, Alexander Campbell, was k while endeavouring to escape from the castle.2

     Sir Walter Ogilvy 1st Lord Ogilvy of Deskford married Mary Douglas, daughter of Sir William Douglas PC, 6th Earl of Morton and Lady Agnes Leslie.1 Sir Walter Ogilvy 1st Lord Ogilvy of Deskford married Agnes Elphinstone, daughter of Robert Elphinstone 3rd Lord Elphinstone and Margaret Drummond of Innerpeffray; his 1st wife.2,3
     ; SIR WALTER OGILVIE, 1st LORD OGILVIE, of Deskford and Findlater, who was made Ld Ogilvie, of Deskford, by patent dated 4 Oct 1616; m 1st, Agnes, dau of 3rd Ld Elphinstone (see that title), and had issue. He m 2nd, Lady Mary Douglas, 3rd dau of 8th Earl of Morton (see that title), and by her had issue. His Lordship was s by his son, JAMES, 1ST EARL OF FINDLATER.2 Sir Walter Ogilvy 1st Lord Ogilvy of Deskford was 1st Lord Ogilvie of Deskford on 4 October 1616.2
