Mrs. Roberts came to Lawton in 1901 and moved to Faxon in 1902, where she lived until the death of her husband. Since that time she has made her home with her children.

Mrs. Roberts, nee Sarah Bellis, was born Sept, 22, 1847, near Indianapolis, Ind. she moved to Missouri with her parents, and was married to W. B. Roberts, Jan. 19 1879, at Cameron, Mo. Mr. Roberts died March 8, 1920.

She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a brother C. D. Bellis, St. Joseph, MO.

     John Wagle Sr. was born on 9 October 1751 at Easton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, USA.^4,5 He married Jemima Todd, daughter of Thomas Todd and Elizabeth Cummins, on 17 March 1778 at Rowan Co., North Carolina, USA.^6,7

John Wagle Sr. died on 28 July 1818 at Foxtown, Madison Co., Kentucky, USA, at age 66; Ancestry sites give no source for information.^8,9
      ; John Wagle was born 09 October, 1751 at Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.The date of his birth he recorded in a family Bible in which he also entered the birth, deaths, and marrages of his wife, his children, and many of his grandchildren. The flyleaf of this Bible is inscribed " John Wagle His Book June Ye 14, 1807." The Book bears imprint of its publisher, Mattew Carey, Philadelphia, 1805. His birth entry reads" John Wagle the son of John and Mary his wife was born the ninth day of October old stile in the year 1751." John moved to North Carolina (one note says he was born in North Carolina) where he is claimed to have served three years as a Lieutenant of the North Carolina Line, serving under Captain Hedrick "in an engagement against the Tories on the Pee Dee River." The family mustered affidavits of this service from North Carolina neighbors, but in spite of the extensive court attendance, ets., proof of service was never accerpted by the pension authorities. Rowan County, North Carolina, Appears to have been John Wagle's home, for it was here he married Jemima Todd, on 26 March, 1778, Jemima, daughter of Thomas Todd and wife Elizabth, was born 19 January, 1759, Probably in Pennsylvaina. This family moved to Kentucky in 1790 or 1791. In the 1972, both John and Jacob "Wegel" are listed as landowners in Madison County Tax Lists. Here John's family settled and were slaveowners, making their home on Otter Creek and at Foxtown (now Whitehall) just north of Richmond, Kentucky, on the Richmond-Lexington Turnpike. John Wagle died in Madison County on 28 July, 1818; Jemima Todd Wagle survived him, dying 30 April, 1850, at the home of her son Thomas Wagle.⁸

     The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved relatives of Mrs. P.P. Stewart who departed this life at her home here on last Friday, after a long illness at the age of 68 years. Mrs. Stewart nee Jane Ann Teas was born in Warren county Jan. 20, 1833 and was married to P.P. Stewart Oct. 25th, 1849. To this union 11 children were born, seven of whom with the father survive her and four children have preceded her to the great beyond. Those living are: Mrs. Schloshauser, of Oklahoma; Mrs. Overpeck, of St. Louis; Misses Kate and Jennie; Peter, of Texas; Bragg, of St. Louis and Wm. Whose residence s not known.
     Mrs. Stewart was truly a good Christian woman-kind to her neighbors, self sacrificing and loving as a wife and mother, she was held in highest esteem by all who knew her. The funeral services were held here Sunday, Rev. Meffert, of the M.E. Church of which the deceased was a consistent member for 30 years, conducting the same. After solemn and appropriate services, the remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery. To the sorrowing husband, children and other relatives we extend out heartfelt sympathy in their sad bereavement and irreparable loss.
     STEWART - Local News-Moore Custer came up from St. Louis Sunday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Stewart.
     STEWART - Ed (Bragg) Stewart and wife of St. Louis, were here Sunday attending the funeral of the former's mother, Mrs. P.P. Stewart
     STEWART - Burt Overpeck of St. Louis and Brie Edwards of St. Charles were among those from a distance who were here last Sunday to attend the funeral of Mrs. P.P. Stewart.³

I am not sure about the girl, Regina HICKS, aged 2 (i.e. born ca 1938). Florida's FAG memorial shows a marriage for her to a Vernon Lee HICKS, so Regina might be her daughter. However, I have found no record of a marriage between Florida and Vernon. Florida was in her sister's household in 1940 (Rhoda (PRATT) HEIMEYER in Benton Twp., Douglas Co., MO. Vernon was listed in his parents' household in Brush Creek Twp., Douglas Co., in 1940 (about 35 miles from Benton Twp.)
