Diego Rodrigues (?) died in August 1097 at Conseugra, near Toledo, Provincia de Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain (now); killed at the battle of Conseugra.1
; "The other child of Rodrigo's marriage to Jimena who sruvived to adulthood was a son, Diego. (We do not know the order in which the children were born.) This Diego is a shadowy character, his very existence attested in only one source, and that a late one, an Aragonese text of c. 1200 known as the "Liber Regum". This evidence, such as it is, tells us that Diego was killed at the battle of Consuegra, south-east of Toledo, in August, 1097. Now Consuegra was an Almoravide victory over Alfonso VI. Diego had therefore been fighting in the royal army."1
