Katharina Belgica (?) Gräfin von Nassau was born on 3 July 1578 at Antwerp, Antwerpen, Belgium.1,2 She married Philipp Ludwig II (?) Graf von Hanau-Münzenberg on 23 October 1596 at Dillenburg Castle.1,3,2,4
Katharina Belgica (?) Gräfin von Nassau died on 12 April 1648 at The Hague, Netherlands, at age 69.1,2
; Born on 3 July 1578 in Antwerp, she was the twelfth child of her father, the Prince of Orange, and her mother's third. Only four years later her mother died, having given birth to six daughters. Less than a year later her father married Louise de Coligny who became the loving and caring step-mother for his many children. On 10 July 1584 her father was murdered, bringing Louise de Coligny even closer to his children or 'petit peuple' as she called them.
However, Catharina Belgica had been brought up a Lutheran by her god-mother and aunt, the Countess von Schwarzburg. Through her father's brother, Count Johann VI von Nassau-Dillenburg, her marriage was arranged with the Calvinist Philipp Ludwig II, Count von Hanau and Münzenberg. Philipp Ludwig II's father had died in 1580 and, as he was only four years old, one of his guardians had been Count Johann VI. From 1595 onwards Philipp Ludwig II had taken over the rule of his county.
Philipp Ludwig II and Catharina Belgica became the parents of nine children. When Philipp Ludwig II died on 19 August 1612, Catharina Belgica became Regent for their son, Philipp Moritz. In 1619 when the Emperor Ferdinand II was on his way to Frankfurt for his coronation, he wanted to pass through with 1,500 soldiers but Catharina Belgica refused him entry into the city of Hanau, which did not endear her to the Emperor.
In 1621 Spanish and Imperial armies ravaged her territories but her complaints to Spanish and Imperial officials were of no avail. In 1626 her son took over the rule from her; however, in 1634 the family had to flee to Holland and was able to return only in 1637. Catharina Belgica died on 12 April 1648 in Hanau.1

; Per Genealogics:
"Wilhelm born about 1382, was the third son of Wilhelm II-VII, Herzog von Berg und Jülich, and Anna, Pfalzgräfin bei Rhein, eldest sister of Ruprecht III genannt Clem, emperor-elect, Pfalzgraf bei Rhein, Kurfürst von Bayern.
"Wilhelm owed his election as bishop of Paderborn (though not consecrated) in 1401 to the support of his royal uncle. Although his father passed the county of Ravensberg to him in 1402, in 1403 Wilhelm supported his brother Adolf in his rebellion against his father, but by 1404 he had reconciled with his father, and was confirmed in the possession of Ravensberg.
"He pursued many feuds, including against Lippe, over which he imposed sovereignty in parts of Paderborn and from which he took Enger to add to Ravensberg.
"With his close adviser Gobelinus Person he reformed the abbey of Böddeken in Büren (Westphalia) in keeping with the _Devotio Moderna_ movement. With the attempt to similarly reform the abbey of Abdinghof in Paderborn he aroused the opposition of the burghers and the estates.
"When Wilhelm attempted to have himself elected to the vacant archbishopric of Cologne in 1414, his local rival Dietrich von Mörs combined with Wilhelm's opponents in the diocese of Paderborn and had himself elected archbishop. Wilhelm was forced to relinquish Paderborn and his aspiration to Cologne, and retired to the county of Ravensberg, living at Sparrenburg castle near Bielefeld.
"About 19 February 1416 Wilhelm married the niece of Dietrich von Mörs, Adelheid, Gräfin von Tecklenburg, daughter of Nikolaus II, Graf von Tecklenburg, and Gräfin Elisabeth von Mörs und Saarwerden. Their only son Gerhard VII would have progeny, marrying Sofie von Sachsen-Lauenburg. Thus Wilhelm becomes the progenitor of a new line of dukes of Berg, as Gerhard inherited not only the county of Ravensberg, but in 1437 the duchies of Berg and Jülich.
"Wilhelm died in 1428, and was buried in the Church of St. Mary (Marienkirche) in Bielefeld."1

This report is presumably garbled in some way if not totally inaccurate. Not only would Wilhelm von Jülich have been Jutta’s first cousin, and a Papal dispensation for their marriage therefore unlikely to be issued at that time, but the ruling duke of Jülich was then Wilhelm’s brother Adolf.]"

Vogt von Sindelfingen.
"m ---. The primary source which confirms the name of Rudolf’s wife has not been identified."
Med Lands cites:
; Per Genealogics:
"Rudolf II was the younger son of Rudolf I, Pfalzgraf von Tübingen, and Mechtild, Gräfin von Giessen, daughter and heiress of Wilhelm, Graf von Gleiberg, and Salome von Isenburg. With his wife, a daughter of Heinrich, Markgraf von Ronsberg, and Udelhild von Gammertingen-Achalm, he had three sons, Hugo IV, Rudolf II 'der Scheerer' and Ulrich, and a daughter Mechtild, of whom Rudolf II and Mechtild would have progeny; she would become the mother of Gertrud von Hohenberg who would marry Rudolf I von Habsburg, the emperor-elect.
"Rudolf II inherited the county palatine of Tübingen when his elder brother Hugo III died in 1216. From 1224 onwards he is described as Count Palatine in many imperial documents, while his younger brother Wilhelm is merely styled as Count. Rudolf supported Bebenhausen Abbey, which his parents had founded.
"Next to his father, Rudolf is the second most mentioned count palatine of Tübingen in imperial documents, mostly in documents by Heinrich (VII) von Hohenstaufen, son of Emperor Friedrich II, who had been elected King of the Germans in 1220 aged only 8. Friedrich II spent much of his time in Italy, leaving his ancestral Swabia in the hands of his son. In 1232 Heinrich would revolt against his father, and do all in his power to win the Swabian nobility over to his side. Rudolf appears to have been among the noblemen who sided with Heinrich VII; he is mentioned in ten different documents of Heinrich VII and never in documents of Friedrich II. Considering Rudolf's energetic character, one can assume that he intended to use the conflict between Heinrich VII and Friedrich II to expand his own power and aim at an independent position.
"There are many mentions of Rudolf and his movements. He and his brother Wilhelm visited Heinrich VII in Worms on 8 January 1224. They met with other Swabian noblemen, including Graf Hartmann I von Württemberg and a Graf von Dillingen, in Oppenheim on 5 April 1227, and with Hermann V, Markgraf von Baden, and Eberhard II, Truchsess von Waldburg, the councillor and former guardian of Heinrich VII, in Hagenau on 1 May that year. In the same year, Rudolf met Ludwig I, Herzog von Bayern, the imperial regent, and Konrad von Winterstetten, the imperial cupbearer and a councillor of Heinrich VII. He met with the lords of Neuffen and the imperial marshal Anselm von Justingen in Ulm on 23 February 1228. On 31 August that year Rudolf appears, together with Hermann V, Markgraf von Baden, Graf Heinrich von Württemberg, a Graf von Dillingen, and Konrad von Weinsperg, as witnesses to a deed in which King Heinrich VII confirms the privileges of Adelber Abbey in Esslingen. Later that year, Rudolf appeared as a witness in four deeds by Ludwig I, Herzog von Bayern, and Bishop Ekbert of Bamberg, together with Hermann V, Markgraf von Baden, Ulrich and Eberhard, Grafen von Helfenstein, Eberhard and Otto, Grafen von Eberstein, Gottfried, Graf von Hohenlohe, and others.
"Rudolf led a delegation of eight Swabian counts, among them Albrecht IV 'the Wise, Graf von Habsburg, Landgraf in Elzas, and Friedrich IV-II, Graf von Zollern, Burggraf von Nürnberg, at the imperial Diet in Worms on 29 April 1231. On 22 November 1231, Rudolf and his brother Wilhelm met counts Albert von Rottenburg, Ulrich von Helfenstein and Eberhard von Waldburg at Heinrich VII's castle in Ulm. On 31 December 1231 Rudolf witnessed a deed in favour of Neresheim Abbey in Wimpfen, together with Konrad I, Herzog von Teck, and Hermann V, Markgraf von Baden.
"The last time Rudolf witnessed a deed of Heinrich VII was on 4 June 1233 in Esslingen, again with his brother Wilhelm.
"In 1235 Pope Gregory IX called on the princes of the empire to mount a new crusade into the Holy Land. Rudolf is the only Swabian nobleman named in this call to arms; whether he actually went to the Holy Land is not known. The fact that he is not mentioned in any deed between 1235 and 1243 suggests that he may have been absent for an extended period. In particular, no mention is made of his position in the struggle between Konrad IV von Hohenstaufen, emperor-elect, and his rival Heinrich Raspe, Landgraf von Thüringen, emperor-elect in 1246, which is remarkable, since this struggle took place mainly in Swabia. However, a deed in favour of Bebenhausen Abbey which the papal legate made at Rudolf's request in the army camp outside Ulm on 28 January 1247, suggests that he supported Heinrich Raspe.

; Per Genealogics:
"Bogislaw II was born about 1178, the son of Bogislaw I, Herzog von Pommern-Stettin, and Anastasia of Poland, daughter of Duke Miezko III. When Bogislaw I died in 1187, Bogislaw II and his brother Kasimir II, who were both under age, came under the guardianship of their mother and Wartislaw II of Pommern-Stettin from the side line of the Swantibors, who were designated in the sources as governors or vicedominus terrae.
"With his wife Miroslawa of Pomorze Gdanskie, daughter of Msciwoj I, duke of Pomorze Gdanskie (Pomerellen, West Prussia), and his wife Swinislawa, Bogislaw had a son Barnim I who would have progeny, and two daughters.
"Anastasia and her sons, after vain attempts to escape Danish suzerainty, had to travel to Denmark to receive their feudal tenure in person from the hands of King Knut IV. Danish influence was shown subsequently also by the fact that Jaromar von Rügen was appointed in place of Wartislaw II of Pommern-Stettin to be the guardian and governor, and in the judgement at Nyborg Pomerania lost the contested area of Wolgast and Loitz. Also unsuccessful was the war launched by the brothers in 1209 against Jaromar and the city of Stralsund prospering under his protection. The border disputes between the neighbouring lands were finally settled in a Diet in Denmark in 1216, and the feudal ties to this empire were further reinforced by the betrothal of Kasimir to the Danish princess Ingardis.
"In the war that broke out soon afterwards between Brandenburg and Denmark, Margrave Otto II of Brandenburg decisively defeated the Danish army under Peter von Roeskilde and also conquered Pomerania, but he was not able to hold it for long; the duchy remained under Danish suzerainty. This was reinforced during the struggle for the German throne between Philipp von Hohenstaufen and the Welf Otto IV von Braunschweig, when King Waldemar II of Denmark, brother of the late Knut IV, took possession of the whole of North Germany, and the influence of Denmark reached its highest point as ruler of the Danes, the Slavs and the peoples of Jutland and Nordalbingen. This occupation was even recognised in part by the German empire; while the Welf Emperor Otto IV formed an alliance to the White Sea in Thuringia with Albrecht II of Brandenburg, from then on King Waldemar supported Friedrich II, the Hohenstaufen candidate for the German throne, and in return, in Metz in 1214, he was invested by Friedrich, under papal endorsement, with all the German and Slav areas lying beyond the Elbe and Elde, which he then held successfully, in alliance with the Pomeranian dukes, against the attacks by Brandenburg.
"After peace was established through this alliance and the border adjustment between Pomerania and Rügen in 1216, Pomerania also started to grow stronger again and to prosper; not only was the rule of the dukes secured in Gützkow and Demmin, but the culture of the land was also promoted by the immigration of German settlers and through the Abbey of Eldena founded by Jaromar at the beginning of the 13th century. Also the presence of Bishop Christian, who led the unfaithful Prussians back to Christianity, was of great significance for the religious development of Pomerania. With his co-operation the dukes re-established the defunct Abbey of Dargun, and in 1218 the enfeebled Bishop Sigwin of Cammin found a powerful successor in the former cathedral provost Konrad. Bogislaw joined the crusade against Prussia. After Kasimir had died in 1217 on a pilgrimage to Palestine, Bogislaw continued a peaceful reign for several more years until his death on 23 January 1220. He was said to be buried in Keniz, a border castle he had built on the Oder River."3 Bogislaw II (?) Duke of Pomerania-Wolgast was also known as Bogislaw II (?) Herzog von Pommern.3
